Selected members from the South Florida Kyūdō Kai are diciples of the Ogasawara Ryū American Branch. Ogasawara-Ryu America is the first overseas branch of Japan’s historic 800-year-old school of samurai etiquette (reihō), archery (kyūjutsu), and mounted archery (yabusame). Operating out of California's Redwood Kyudojo, it offers training in traditional form and movement, connecting practitioners to 31 generations of samurai tradition.
